WOMEN AND THE BOOK IN THE MIDDLE AGES AND THE RENAISSANCE

Our winter exhibition will showcase 36 manuscripts that demonstrate the important role that women played as authors, artists, scribes, patrons and book-owners throughout the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The exhibition will be accompanied by a scholarly catalogue by Laura Light with an introduction by Anne Winston-Allen. A preview will be held on 23 January (simultaneous with Master Drawing Week) from 4 PM to 8 PM. Les Enluminures, 23 East 73rd Street, Penthouse, New York.
